Leading China-based truck company Forland, in partnership with Solid Machinery and Diesel Parts, Inc. (SMDPI), recently made its Philippine debut with the unveiling of its first-ever showroom at North EDSA in Quezon City.
Coinciding the event, Forland-SMDPI held the groundbreaking ceremony for its first knocked-down (KD) factory in Meycauayan in Bulacan. The event were graced by the Forland General Manager Wang Tao together with SMDPI Chairman Henry Chua Sr. and Director Henry Chua II.
The company is under the umbrella of Foton Group. The China truck maker made big accomplishment as the No. 1 commercial vehicle brand of the Foton Group for 19 years. The company offers the widest product line-up in the world from cargo trucks, dump trucks, and special vehicles (all-wheel drive and hub-reduction type), up to the special purpose vehicles like concrete mixers, environmental sanitation equipment, truck cranes, and tank trucks.
To date, Forland has already successfully sold their products to more than 70 countries around the world and has built 8 overseas KD factories. They have close to 400 sales networks and 300 service networks available.
The company also plans to strengthened its dealer network from Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The KD factory will start its first production in January 2018 with expected annual production capability of 2,000 units.
