BYD Cars Philippines and its official distributor, ACMobility, just made a powerful pit stop at De La Salle University (DLSU)—and they weren’t just parking. From February 10 to 12, 2025, the Henry Sy Sr. Hall Grounds turned into an EV playground, giving students, faculty, and staff a firsthand look at the future of electric mobility.
“As we continue to champion the future of mobility, it’s exciting to see the next generation of leaders engaging with cutting-edge technologies like those from BYD. This campus showcase at De La Salle University is an important step in making electric vehicles accessible to young Filipinos, sparking their curiosity and empowering them to drive positive change for both their communities and the planet,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines.
BYD Tech Tour: Where Innovation Meets the Road
The BYD Tech Tour didn’t just roll into DLSU—it powered up curiosity. With an impressive lineup featuring the Sealion 6 DM-i, Seagull, and Seal, attendees got up close and personal with the brand’s latest EVs. Live demonstrations, interactive displays, and expert insights from BYD product specialists made the event a full-throttle experience.
But the showcase wasn’t just about admiring sleek electric rides. Students and visitors participated in hands-on activities, learning how EV technology is shaping a more sustainable, energy-efficient future. And because no great event is complete without some rewards, ACMobility threw in exclusive prizes to keep the excitement charged.
“This Tech Tour highlights the impressive lineup of BYD electric vehicles, including the BYD Sealion 6 and the BYD Seal, bringing the future of mobility closer to communities across the Philippines. By sharing these innovations, we are empowering people to adopt a more sustainable and efficient way of traveling, driving positive change for both the environment and future generations,” added Bob Palanca.
Eco Archers Take the Stage: Showcasing the Future with Zeta
It wasn’t just BYD’s EV lineup stealing the spotlight. The DLSU Eco Archers Team, known for their innovative vehicle designs in the Shell Eco-Marathon, unveiled their latest pride and joy—the Zeta Urban Concept. Now in its 9th iteration, the Zeta made its first public appearance since competing in Indonesia last July, proving that young Filipino innovators are ready to redefine the future of green mobility.
“BYD is proud to be part of the movement toward a sustainable future, and through our campus tech tours, we aim to inspire the next generation to make a positive environmental impact. These events empower young minds to embrace green technology and lead the way toward a cleaner, brighter future,” said Aiffy Liu, Country Head of BYD Philippines.
