The second-generation Honda BR-V has been designed to provide value that meets the mobility needs of Filipinos. Aside from its strong SUV styling, superior comfort, advanced safety, and a generous amount of standard features, the 7-seater SUV also excels in terms of fuel efficiency.
The all-new model was put to the test as Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) recently conducted a fuel economy run in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP). The All-New BR-V topped the test with an impressive 24.70 kilometers per liter for the 1.5 V CVT variant, followed by the top-of-the-line 1.5 VX CVT Honda SENSING registering 23.48 kilometers per liter, while the 1.5 S CVT achieved 22.61 kilometers per liter.
HCPI together with AAP drove the All-New 7-seater at a total distance of 128 kilometers with the following parameters:
- No usage of cruise control
- Driving with an average speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour
- Low cool in thermostat setting, No. 1 for the blower setting
All variants of the second-generation Honda BR-V are powered by the improved 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine, mated to a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), resulting in better power delivery and improved fuel efficiency. This pairing delivers a smooth and refined performance while achieving excellent fuel mileage.
“The second-generation BR-V aims to strengthen Honda’s model lineup to the next level. This All-new 7-seater ticks the right boxes in a family vehicle, it’s got the tough character of an SUV, advanced technology and safety features, power, and efficiency to deliver great satisfaction for both the driver and its passengers,” said Masahiko Nakamura, HCPI President.
HCPI shall officially expand its safe and fuel-efficient line of vehicles soon with the All-New Honda BR-V, ‘Get Ready for the Next Level,’ as the Japanese automaker officially introduces the model on November 21, 2022. It’s time to elevate your adventures in style, safety, and power without compromising fuel consumption, quality, and durability. It is available in four (4) variants with the following image prices: All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 S MT – PHP 1,100,000; All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 S CVT – PHP 1,190,000; All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 V CVT – PHP 1,300,000; and All-New Honda BR-V 1.5 VX CVT Honda SENSING – PHP 1,390,000.
This direction is in line with Honda’s global strategy of reducing the carbon footprint by providing a range of fuel-efficient models. The brand shall continuously strive to realize carbon neutrality and achieve a collision-free society by 2050 through the standard reinforcement of Honda SENSING across its model lineup.
