Chinese-automotive brand Maxus, the newest addition to the AC Group automotive portfolio, officially launched the G10 Assist package designed to the versatile Maxus G10 multipurpose vehicle. The G10, which now comes as a dealer option, can comfortably accommodate even to those family members who require assistance for personal mobility.

Normally, a conventional van, MPV, or SUV usually is not equipped to accommodate PWDs and their wheelchairs, which brings travel challenges. The G10 Assist package is equipped with a special swivel seat for people who are wheelchair-bound or have difficulty walking and travelling. With this special remote-controlled seat, one can go in and out of the vehicle with ease and comfort.

Specs-wise, the G10 is powered by a Euro-4 1.9-liter Turbo Diesel Common-rail Direct Injection engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that produces 150 Ps of power and a 350 Nm of torque.

Safety-wise, the G10 meets global safety standards with integrated body structure, front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, 3-point seatbelts on all seats, ISOFIX, front and rear parking sensors, and rear camera.

The G10 Assist retains all these comfort, power, and safety features, but adds a customized technological innovation that would make transporting the elderly and persons with disabilities (PWDs) so much easy and convenient.

Inside, this 9-seater MPV has a modern and luxurious design, offers spacious interior and comfort amenities, highlighted by four captain seats at the rear, power adjustable seat for the driver and front passenger and flexible seating at the rear to provide a spacious luggage room. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen radio with Bluetooth, USB with 6 speakers system, a 220-volt power supply and front and rear air-conditioning system.

In terms of price, the G10 is offered at a special price of P1,680,000, and the Assist device, as dealer option, is available at an additional cost of just P399,800.

It has a vehicle warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kms, whichever comes first. Plus, one is entitled to 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, a pick-up and delivery service, and on-site servicing for corporate fleet accounts.
