The digital car and alternative drive systems are the key highlights of the upcoming 2019 Auto Shanghai, or the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, which takes place from 18 to 25 April at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China.
For eight long days, the motor show will again attract international motoring journalists, car enthusiasts, and gearheads across the world.
An estimated of 1,000 companies from manufacturing and suppliers from 20 different countries as well as numerous start-ups will show their innovations in the 13 halls of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC).
This year’s theme “Future Mobility Market” will focus about the mobility of the future. According to Peter Bergleiter, Managing Director of IMAG GmbH which has been the European co-organizer of Auto Shanghai since 2003, “There’s still tremendous interest in the Chinese automotive market. China intends to become one of the leading markets for electromobility and autonomous driving. Accordingly, there’s great demand for corresponding technologies.”
