The number of retro-style street bikes (Cafe Racers) in the country are constantly growing. On that note, this is the reason why motorcycle manufacturers are creating more products designed to different niche market.
Royal Enfield is one of them. Their local unit Royal Enfield Philippines has officially launched today two of its popular middleweight bikes—the 2019 Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
The unveiling were held at Ride PH first-ever Cafe event, a one-day motorcycle event organized by veteran journalist and bike enthusiast Jay Taruc.
So what is the Interceptor INT 650? The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 is a conventional-styled roadster of Royal Enfield that shares the same engine, frame, chassis (from chassis specialists Harris Performance), and wheels similar to Continental GT 650.
Most noticeable are the wider upright handlebar and dual seat (both for rider and passenger). The instrument tachometer and speedometer, on the other hand, offers a conventional appearance with twin-dial analog gauges, trip A and B, and an LCD fuel feature. Power comes from the 648-cc air-cooled SOHC 8V parallel twin.
