As many Filipinos continue to experience the economic impact of the pandemic, leading European auto parts manufacturer HELLA helped motorists cope with the rising cost of commodities, especially during the holiday season.
As the holiday celebrations peaked during the last quarter of 2022, HELLA hosted a month-long roadshow that offered free spark plugs, wipers, and installation to riders and drivers in various parts of Metro Manila. Catering to some of the pandemic’s unsung heroes, among those who received the free parts and service are ride-hailing drivers and delivery riders who have continued to service Filipinos, come rain or shine.
By celebrating and honoring their service to the community, HELLA installed 1,050 spark plugs and 1,870 pairs of wipers, helping close to 3,000 riders and drivers ensure their safety on the road even beyond the holiday rush.
“HELLA hosted this roadshow because we wanted to help them in our way, especially over the holidays. By equipping them with reliable, high-quality, and long-lasting parts for free, they can have an opportunity to make better financial decisions. They can use their budget on other essentials while keeping them safe as they continue to serve the greater Filipino community,” said Jason De Leon, HELLA Country Manager for Philippines.
HELLA also collaborated with MotoRonda, a content creator in the motoring industry who showed up at various venues and attracted big crowds. He drove up interest in the roadshow, producing long queues at the different venues he visited and amplified HELLA’s reach among various riding and driving communities. Other notable influencers involved in the campaign were James Deakin, Ryan Viray, Reech Potato, SouthScene, and Nuffsaid Society.
Apart from this, HELLA also renewed its partnership with Grab, offering its riders, drivers, employees, as well as MoveIt riders exclusive discounts of up to 30% on select HELLA products, valid until January 31, 2023.
“Grab has been a significant partner for us in our previous engagements so we hope to extend our support for them with these efforts, especially in the face of a financial crisis. Now, their riders, drivers, and employees, as well as MoveIt riders, still have an opportunity to keep their travels safe and secure savings for other important matters,” said De Leon.
