MPT Mobility, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation’s (MPTC) digital innovations arm, recently announced the full availability of its all-in-one travel app, MPT DriveHub, for Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) motorists.
Developed and managed by MPT Mobility, the MPT DriveHub app enables CCLEX users and motorists to reload their radio frequency identification (RFID) accounts in real time, tap and track their RFID account, and call directly for emergency assistance along CCLEX.
“We have purposely engineered MPT DriveHub to provide travelers ease and convenience while traveling to their destinations, elevating their overall driving experience,” MPT Mobility President and Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) CEO Rodrigo E. Franco said.
Last July 2, CCLEX’s electronic toll collection system was partially activated for motorists. There are some booths that still accept cash payments to accommodate CCLEX users who have yet to install RFID stickers. But these booths will eventually be converted to RFID-enabled lanes to provide for safer and faster transactions. “While we’re introducing this technology in Cebu, we believe that this new system will greatly improve not just drives, but lives,” said Franco.
MPT Mobility’s DriveHub integrates three key functions in just one app: real-time RFID reload, tap and tracking of RFID account, and emergency roadside assistance for all of MPTC’s tollways. These tollways include the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX), Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), and most recently, CCLEX. It is free to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
Using digital technology and MPTC’s various integrated systems and services, MPT DriveHub not only offers faster and seamless driving experience for CCLEX users, but it is also a tool that can help accelerate the economic progress of the province of Cebu.
“This partnership is important because mobility is important. The CCLEX itself is not just a way to get from one place to another, but also a testament to how much Cebu has grown; it’s a mark of our progress,” Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) President and General Manager Allan G. Alfon.
