Sixteen corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs of automotive companies have been recognized as inspiring and outstanding initiatives that have enhanced the lives of thousands of people who were beneficiaries of its projects. The recognition was given by the Society of Philippine Motoring Journalists (SPMJ) 4th Driven To Serve Awards during simple ceremonies via zoom recently.
For four years now, the SPMJ conducts the search for the outstanding CSR programs and submits all documents confirming the project’s results to a board of judges which evaluates projects that will be recognized with a platinum, gold, silver or bronze award.
Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) with, HARI Foundation, Inc., topped the awards with two of its CSR programs getting the honor of Platinum Awards. The two programs are the Rainwater Harvesting Facility System (for community development) and the Hyundai Dream Centre Philippines (for education and training). HARI also bagged the Gold Award for Alagang Breastfriend (#AlagangBFF) in the community development category.
There are four categories for the awards: Community Development, Education and Training, Environment and Road Safety. The outstanding CSR programs honored by the 4th SPMJ Driven To Serve Awards are:
Community Development:

Silver award—TMP Foundation Breast Cancer Awareness Project, Toyota Motor Philippines
Silver award— Building Healthy Communities, Ford Philippines
Bronze award —Partnership with Habitat for Humanity for Volunteer House Painting, Nissan Philippines
Bronze award — Maxus V80 Flex Ambulance Donation to Ospital ng Tondo, Maxus Philippines
Education and training:
Platinum award—Hyundai Dream Centre Philippines (HDCP), HARI.
Gold award— Ford Automotive Technician Scholarship Program, Ford Philippines
Gold award—TMP Foundation Vegetable Project; Toyota Motor Philippines
