How time flies! Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), the local distributor and importer of Honda cars in the country, is celebrating its 30th year of operations in the Philippine market.
Since its entry into the industry in 1990, HCPI has become one of the top industry players in the Philippine automotive scene. From legacy models like the Civic, City, Accord, and CR-V, to newer innovations like the Mobilio, BR-V, and Civic Type R, HCPI has constantly and consistently moved forward, upholding the utmost quality in all of their vehicles, throughout the years.
To commemorate this milestone, HCPI held a small, but intimate, online gathering with its media friends and partners. The gathering served not only as HCPI’s thanksgiving celebration for the unwavering support their partners had given them, but also as the first official introduction of HCPI President, Masahiko Nakamura, who assumed office just last April 2020.
Other notable attendees during the virtual event include Executive Vice President, Ryohei Adachi, HCPI Assistant Vice President, Koki Hattori, official company spokesperson, Atty, Louie Soriano, and the motoring media.
Besides launching the 30th anniversary commemorative book of HCPI, celebrating and honoring the many achievements and milestones the company has had over the past 30 years, HCPI will likewise have its very first virtual car launch on October 22, 2020, to unveil the two latest models in its lineup of vehicles in the country.
Established on October 1990 under the Philippine government’s Car Development Program, production operations commenced on February 1992. To date, HCPI is a team of over 600 Associates, working with 38 Dealers nationwide and about 60 parts and materials suppliers. The company is a partnership among Honda Motor Co., Ltd., AC Industrial Holdings, Inc., and Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation.
