After successfully launching the gigantic F150 last month, Ford Philippines gears in full throttle as the American car brand is set to unveil for the first time its new SUV—the all-new Ford Territory.
According to Ford, this new SUV will give Filipino customers a new SUV offering that will complement today’s modern lifestyles and needs.
This crossover SUV built that we reckoned came from the land of the bush and outback, but surprisingly was a product of JMC-Ford joint venture in China. As early as 2019, Ford China sells the Territory as an entry-level SUV comparable to the smaller EcoSport and Escape.
Ford Philippines is the first market in the company’s International Market Group (IMG) composed of nearly 100 markets around the world to offer the all-new Ford Territory, which will reinforce Ford’s presence in the small and mini-SUV segments in the country.
Soon to launch next month, the all-new Ford Territory will deliver an appeal to young professionals and small families with its segment-leading features and capabilities offered at a competitive price point.
This vehicle, which was assembled in Nanchang, China, is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine mated on a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.
In a press statement from PK Umashankar, managing director of Ford Philippines, said, “The all-new Ford Territory is designed to empower the modern Filipino driver who don’t want to compromise features, space, technology and versatility in their vehicle.”
“With Ford’s heritage and global expertise in designing class-leading SUVs, we are confident that the all-new Ford Territory will resonate with Filipino customers looking for an all-in-one package in their SUV,” concludes Umashankar.
Well, let’s wait and see!
