American car brand Ford is extending the coverage of its FREE emergency roadside assistance from 1 year to 3 years as part of its efforts to improve the ownership experience.
Starting January 1, all Ford vehicles sold from any Ford dealership nationwide will have free 3-year coverage of emergency roadside assistance, making the program one of the most competitive after-sales offerings available in the market today.
Joyce Laxamana, Director of Ford Customer Service Division, said, “This initiative is another step closer to improving the Ford ownership experience for our customers. Starting today, all Ford customers getting their vehicles will enjoy free 3 years of emergency roadside assistance that will give them the peace of mind and confidence that support will be provided by Ford anytime, anywhere.”
Emergency roadside assistance is a 24/7 program that provides quick and reliable help on the road for all Ford vehicle owners. It covers four (4) types of basic services in a year, which are offered for free for up to three availments per year. These include towing services, removal of vehicles using a crane, minor on-site repairs, and arrangement or payment for car or taxi service to bring the customer to their intended destination or residence.
Under the program, emergency vehicles will be dispatched to extend the minor repairs such as changing of tires, battery boosting and jump starting, and fuel delivery, and provide towing services. Customer service assistants can also help provide customers with information on hospitals, transmittal of urgent messages, arrangement of transportation, medical evaluation and other related services.
