After its successful launched in the PH market, Chinese Car Brand Maxus, the newest addition to the Ayala Group’s automotive portfolio, has officially confirmed that they are selling a pickup truck—the Maxus T60—in the first quarter of 2020.
This was after Maxus Philippines sent us an email last week confirming the arrival of the first batch of the T60 units at Batangas port. Well, we don’t know the real strategy plan of Maxus but one thing for sure is that the company are all out for wars against pickup competitors.
The Maxus T60 is the first Chinese-manufactured utility pick-up truck manufactured by SAIC Motor under Maxus brand. It was launched in 2016 at the Guangzhou International Motor Show, which scores an impressive 5 stars on the ANCAP Safety Rating.
According to Maxus, the T60 will be available in 3 variants—4×2 Manual Transmission, 4×2 Automatic Transmission and 4×4 Automatic Transmission.
On its global website, the T60 is powered by a 2.8-liter variable-geometry turbocharged diesel engine mated on 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic variant. It has traditional body-on-frame truck with MacPherson suspension at the front and leaf spring at the rear.
