Oil Giant Firm Petron has renewed its partnership with Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) for the highly-coveted motorsports program, now called the Vios Festival.
The program, which was named before as Vios Cup Race, is a grassroots racing competition spearheaded by Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) designed for non-professionals and aspiring race car drivers who wanted to excel their talents on motorsports.
According to TMP, the race is bound to showcase the true meaning of Waku-Doki—a Japanese term for “adrenalin rush” and highlight the performance of their best-selling car, the Toyota Vios.
For this year, the Vios Festival adds an Auto Cross Challenge in addition to the usual Circuit Races. The Auto Cross Challenge is open to entrants in 3 categories, namely: Celebrity, Media, and Car Clubs. Meanwhile, the Circuit Races will have 4 categories: Super Sporting, Sporting Class, Promotional, and Celebrity.
The event kicks off at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City last April 27 to 28. The next 3 legs will be held at the Clark International Speedway on June 7-8, August 30-31, and November 8-9. Among well-known celebrity racers that will compete includes Gerald Anderson, Fabio Ide, Troy Montero, Aubrey Miles, Gretchen Ho, Daniel Matsunaga, and Chie Filomeno.
Petron, as the official fuel partner, will promote the Petron XCS. The Petron XCS with Complete Combustion System is a 95-octane high quality premium gasoline formulated with an additive technology based on organic combustion enhancer for quick engine response, excellent engine protection, and optimal fuel efficiency.
Like all Petron fuels, the XCS provides the TriAction Advantages of better engine protection for longer engine life; best mileage for longer drives; and superb power.
