That’s right. The Philippine Team, which represented by UMA Racing Yamaha Philippines Team, are now in cloud nine after a victorious back-to-back win in the Underbone 150cc class over the weekend at the 2019 Asia Road Racing Championship in Sepang, Malaysia.

Partnering with UMA Racing, a top brand for performance parts in Malaysia and Racing Boy, the two Filipinos (McKinley Kyle Paz and Masato Fernando) had a blazing start. Paz immediately made his presence felt on the first day of practice at the Sepang International Circuit where he placed second among all riders. Using his Sniper 150, the 17-year old Wonder Boy Paz dominates on the round one of the entire race with his relentless passion and eagerness to win.

With a nation rallying behind them and a fiery passion burning inside, they were ready to show what Filipinos were made of.

Meantime, the veteran titleholder Masato Fernando was defiant to the end, he put himself in a good spot heading into the next race and earned points by picking up the fifth position. He was also able to avoid a crash when other participants had a tumble heading to the final corner. Masato undoubtedly come back with a vengeance during race 2 with the best time of 15:32.583.

The Philippine contingent also earned the best team award for this race and will do everything to prepare for another grueling round against Asia’s best to keep our flag at the top of the ARRC.
