Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), the local arm of Japanese carmaker Isuzu, has introduced its first innovative engine technology designed for mu-X and D-MAX model.
The new engine, which is now called RZ4E Blue Power, is the latest breakthrough technology of Isuzu on their vehicles (mu-X and D-MAX) that provides maximum power, cleaner emissions and excellent fuel economy.
The latest engine, which is a Euro-4 compliant, is set to replace the existing 2.5-liter variants, to 3.0-liter and their newly smaller 1.9-liter turbo-diesel variant, which produces maximum power of 150 PS at 3,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 N-m from 1,800-2600 rpm.
During the launched, IPC President Hajime Koso said: “The global trend of producing smaller capacity engine that has an output of larger engines has come to Isuzu. The new RZ4E Blue Power engine, carries with it our years of experience as a diesel engine manufacturer. Carefully developed to provide optimized power and torque; this engine performs efficiently, with much care for the environment, running with less noise & vibrations, and is very easy to maintain.”
The new Isuzu mu-X RZ4E variants are available in 5 dynamic color options: Havana Brown, Cosmic Black, Obsidian Gray, Titanium Silver, and Silky Pearl White. Prices are set at P1,395,000 for the mu-X RZ4E 4×2 LS Manual Transmission; P1,570,000 for the mu-X RZ4E 4×2 LS-A Manual Transmission; and P1,595,000 for the mu-X RZ4E 4×2 LS-A Automatic variant.
The company will announced the prices of the D-MAX on a later date.
