Transcend Information Inc., the leading
manufacturer of storage and multimedia products, has announced the arrival of its latest dashcam—the DrivePro 230.
Equipped with a Sony Exmor sensor, the DrivePro 230 dashcam captures high-resolution images with extremely fine tonal gradation even in low light. Among the device’s other features include GPS receiver, G-sensor, high-capacity Li-polymer battery, convenient snapshot button, and WiFi connectivity.
On the road, the Transcend’s DrivePro 230 stands sentry when the vehicle is parked at a public parking lot or on a roadside. When parked, the driver can enable the motion detection function or the time-lapse video recording function. The former activates
recording when motion is detected; the latter enables users to get right to the heart of the matter without needing to view hours of incident-free footage.
The Transcend DrivePro 230 also comes equipped with a Lane Departure Warning System, which checks for, and alerts a driver to, sudden changes in speed and lane. The Forward Collision
Warning System warns a driver when the driving speed exceeds a preset value, such that the vehicle is getting too close to the car ahead. The system will in either case alert a driver with
a warning sound and an onscreen alert. When the DrivePro detects poor lighting conditions, the Headlight Reminder will be activated.
For connectivity, the DrivePro 230 are WiFi connectivity that works for both Apple iOS and Android devices. The DrivePro 230 dashcam is backed by Transcend’s Two-year Limited Warranty.
