Charity begins at home, goes the old saying. But for Japanese manufacturer of trucks and buses Hino, it starts elsewhere.
Last September 4, Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), the exclusive distributor of Hino trucks and buses in the country, donated major assemblies such as engine, transmission, and other related parts to upgrade Laguna-based school Phil-Nippon Technical College powertrain training programs.
The donation includes the Hino J08 series diesel engine, which was developed for Hino medium duty trucks and buses, and two types of transmission and differential systems. Present during the turned over to PNTC ceremony were HMP President Hiroshi Aoki, HML Senior General Manager Takeshi Yasuda, and HML Deputy General Manager Hiroshige Fukuoka.
Meanwhile, PNTC offers technical skills and Japanese language training programs designed to meet the standards of Japanese companies. Graduates of the school are referred to affiliate Japanese companies through HML Japan. Since 2015, PNTC has sent more than 250 graduates to Japan.
Hino Motors Philippines is in partnership with its principal Hino Motors Ltd. (HML). The company also conducted several CSR program including tree planting, medical missions, Brigada Eskwela and bloodletting projects.
