After its successful event last year, online magazine Cafe Racer PH will be holding an event dedicated for dirt racers that wants to experience a unique race on flat race dirt. Dubbed as “Keep It Dirty” race, the event attracted over 300 motorcycle enthusiast (particularly custom bikes and classic motorcycle) in the country.
To be held at MX Messiah Fairgrounds in San Juan, Taytay Rizal, the main highlight of the event includes 5 Main Flat Track Race Categories where riders of different motorcycle types from 150cc and below; 150cc and above; Minibike, Invitationals and Custom Costume Race.
“Keep It Dirty became the catalyst for the flat track racing culture to emerge in our country. The idea started after watching on any Sunday movie about motorcycle culture by Bruce Brown in the 70’s. This event aims to bring back the glory of motorcycle racing in its purest form which is all about camaraderie, family and fun friendly race on a dirt track,” said Michael Eijansantos, Editor-in-Chief of Cafe Racer PH.
“The event also features other motorcycle contest that we invented—like the Longest rear tire slide—where a rider needs to pull his rear brake from point A to B until the rear wheel stops and the next competitor breaks his record. We also have longest donut turn on a motorcycle. Last year, the longest donut was done by PJ Bonza with 14 turns,” adds Eijansantos.
