Last month, the Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in the country, successfully launch a regional media ride-and-drive event to their best-selling mid-size SUV—the 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer—in Cebu City.
And here’s what we found out with the new Trailblazer:
On the Exterior…
- Outside, the new Trailblazer has more angular lines. It retains its dual-port front grille, bumper and lamps that now comes with a daytime running lights. There’s a rain-sensing wipers and electrochromic rearview mirror, which helps make driving stress free.
- The signature goldenrod bowtie is still evident in Trailblazer that represents Chevrolet’s strong reputation of being a global leader in the highly competitive SUV segment.
- For the top-of-the-line Z71 variant, Chevy adds 18-inch gunmetal wheels. Chevy also added in a ground clearance of 253-mm for a tall, athletic stance.
- There’s a 7 exterior paint options: Pull Me Over Red, Summit White, Satin Steel Grey, Black Meet Kettle, Mountain Blue, Auburn Brown, and Switchblade Silver.
On the Interior…
- Inside, it has a freshly designed dashboard, enhanced by soft-touch materials and contrast stitching.
- It now offers “theater-style seating” premium leather seats with accent stitching, as well as an electronic adjustable driver seat for personalized comfort. With a second and third row that folds flat, loading additional cargo to carry more fun for family trips ahead is made easy.
- The new Trailblazer is fitted with new technologies that allow driver or passengers to project a simplified version of their smartphone screen onto the car’s touchscreen. The Chevrolet MyLink Infotainment System has a wide, 8-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity compatible with multiple smartphone OS, making connections easier wherever you are on the road.
While the Engine…
- The 2017 Chevrolet Trailblazer still maintains its powerful performance on the road. You can still choose between the 2.8-liter that produces best-inclass 200-horsepower and 2.5-liter variant that delivers 163-horsepower. Both offers Euro 4-compliant with better performance, improved fuel economy and lower emissions.
Chevy’s Alphabet of Safety is always there…
- It comes with a host of active and passive safety features that include Traction Control System (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Panic Brake Assist (PBA), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist (HAS), Anti-Rolling Protection and Trailer Sway Control. Front airbags for the driver and passenger are also present.
Chevy has new updated price list for the Trailblazer. For the entry-level, the Trailblazer is priced at P1,378,888.00 (4×2 DSL LT manual transmission); P1,509,888.00 (4×2 DSL 6-Speed LT automatic transmission); and P1,881,888.00 (4×4 DSL automatic transmission) for the top-of-the-line variant.
