Global Tech giant Acer recently holds first Chief Information Officers (CIO) forum that aims to showcase Acer’s latest and newest product offerings and services to existing and potential clients.
Started in 2008, the event gathered Chief Information Officers of companies from different industries to highlight in building a solid base commercial sales. Attendees includes representative from the academe, government, telecommunications, manufacturing and retail industries.
Sue Ong-Lim, Acer Philippines Sales and Marketing Director, confidently shares “From a mere 5-percent contribution to Acer’s revenue, the Commercial Sales Group now contributes about 25-percent to Acer’s coffers.”
The top execs mentioned how they started building the team first then established partnerships with valuable partners. “We provided various incentives to channel-partners and end-users, which came in the form of “boot camps,” especially for clients from the academe or events,” said Ong-Lim.
Meanwhile, Manuel Wong, Managing Director of Acer Philippines, expressed his gratitude to the continued support of CIOs during his welcome remarks.
Wong also pioneered Acer’s service-oriented philosophy and introduced “on-site services” where Acer engineers will be deployed at clients’ offices in order to provide quick and better assistance. He also shared information on Acer’s new and innovative products that truly provide value to clients’ investments.
